So with that, here is the giveaway I have been speaking about.
In a shameless bid to increase followers and get general feedback, I am throwing up some mailing goodies. Make no mistake folks, this will be a fun one.
These will be going out to every person listed on Good Mail Day as of Feb 28, 2012. As well as most of the people that received them on the last mailing. Mainly the blogs that I follow.
So.. You ask, what's the catch to entering this fabulous giveaway and what's in it for moi??
Glad you asked! Here's what you need to do. The next time you hear Little orphan annie, get out your decoder rings.. OK, not that but something similar. When you get the post cards I mailed. Reply. You know that whole send a letter get a letter. Second, follow the site. Third - Make a comment. (this just lets me know your paying attention :)
Pretty simple eh? (threw that one in the the Canadians - being multi national and all). I will be mailing the overseas cards by March 2 to allow for travel time and the local (US) by the 11th.
Now on to the goodies.
One full pack of 20 of stamped post cards. Just like the ones I sent out (except pre stamped).
And what do we have behind door number 2 Johnny??
One Lapel Pin
And finally for the big prize.. Your choice of 1 FULL sheet of either
So there ya have it. I will draw the winner by random number generator some time in MID APRIL. This will or should allow enough time for stuff sent to get to me. Is it good enough for the first giveaway. What kind of things would you like to see?
In the words of Red Green " remember, If you can't be handsome, at least be handy"
LOL! You should be on radio. Too funny. Wow! Hope I win a lapel pin, or the stamps. I am partial to the second from the bottom but I like everything. How 'bout we sing "Take me out to the ball game?" Oh, snap a lap! That's it!ReplyDelete
Nice give away, Dodson, D. You do everything big, don't you? Wow, again. Will help spread the werd.
Nay nay lady limner. The giveaway is for all three items. The cards, stamps and pin.. Winner take all.Delete
got your letter and most excellent envelope today (you had me at the homer-in-towel sticker). thanks for sending the link to your blog so I could follow. lovely giveaway you got going. It's snowing like crazy in Massachusetts today - opening day can't come soon enough! -KarenReplyDelete
You'll Have to speak up, I'm wearing a towel. Thank you so much. The cards will be going out soon. I am waiting for a stamp (for the web address).Delete
This is one of the best give-aways I've encountered, not just due to the goodies themselves, but because of the presentation. Put a smile on my face and sent me down to the basement to look for my decoder ring.ReplyDelete
I thought I had signed up to follow your blog some time ago and you jut weren't posting anything. Duh. I really did it this time.
Thank you for the kind words. Always appreciated. I have some ideas about future giveaways. Just figuring out how to put them together. Planning and acquiring the stuff is always a challenge as I use stuff that is no longer readily available, so quantities are tough.Delete
Thanks for reading
Wow, Dodson, D.! You are generous to a T.ReplyDelete
Well, going well so far. I will have all cards sent out by this weekend. I sent the first 50 off today. Looking forward to see what kind of turn out we get for this.ReplyDelete
Greetings from your mail friend in Rhode Island! For some reason your site would not load for me on previous days but now...so glad it did! received your Cy Young card today...yeah! I will repay with a postcard from RI...I have a few on my desk! Going to eat my lunch and peruse your site while my little one watches Max & Ruby and Franklin!ReplyDelete
I'm stuck at home today with Kaylee as well, she was up all night coughing (allergies). Just got her in a nice wamr bath to try and loosen some of that stuff up. Off to the Milk Gallery tonight for the mail art exhibit. Hope to have some photos.Delete
Hi Derrick! Wow, you send a lot of mail! And this is quite the giveaway!ReplyDelete
I got my cool baseball card today. Glad to find your blog, too. I have a blog--some mail related...you would like the interview w/ the mailman I had-it's on the sidebar. check it out.
I'll be sending ya mail soon. Take care.- Katie in Oly
Got your postcard in the mail. Writing your postcard and hopefully it will be on it's way to you tomorrow! Great giveaway btw!ReplyDelete
thanks - I can't find your pic of the piece you sent to the milk. I did manage to get a photo pf everything and will be posting them tomorrow.Delete
On the giveaway - you ain't seen nothin yet. I have one for Halloween (gathering now) and Christmas will be the biggie. But that one will be limited to people following by a cut off date.
I received your postcard today, I'll be sending a reply this coming week! But I'm not sure about the prize? Can you use American stamps in England? I've personally never tried it...?ReplyDelete
I am impressed that the card got there so quickly. I doubt you can use the US postage in other countries. But what a neat thing to stick on your outgoing from england :) You'll have a full sheet of unique stamps..Delete
You could use the stamps on return mail, send out requests for autographs and include a stamped self addressed envelope for them to send the autograph back in.Delete
I just found you today, so I missed out on the mailing -- shoot -- but I am leaving my comment here (I've also left several others today, I like your blog and posts!). Now, I'm headed on up to follow the site and I will be mailing you something on Monday! This is a great giveaway and I want a shot at it. ;) Love me some baseball! Especially my Texas Rangers! ;)ReplyDelete
Your postcard arrived yesterday, I'm writing a response this afternoon. Great giveaway, crossing my fingers!ReplyDelete
No interest in the baseball theme. And I certainly don't need more stamps! I have more than I will ever use (but am still accumulating them.) Hallowe'en themed items though...ReplyDelete
What great stamps! Sometimes I wish we had more to choose from here in Germany.ReplyDelete
That's so generous of you! Hmm... they'll definitely make a great collection. But still, I can't use any of them if I win them. I'll keep my fingers crossed though. :)ReplyDelete
