It's coming.. Sometime soon..

I am in the process of getting a store ready.

I need YOUR input. YES..  YOU.  I know what I like and what I would like to see in a single point of purchase kind of place.

Please note.  This is going to be interesting and it's going to take some time.

As of right now I have opened accounts with some great suppliers.

Field Notes Brand
Exaclair (Rhodia, Clairfontaine, G.Lalo, J. Herbin and Quo Vadis)  Not sure about Rhodia as they are available everywhere, but would like to hear from you folks.
Orange Art (Original Crown Mill, Le Typographe, Arpa)
Cats Life Press (Rubber Stamps)
BlueQ (some really cool bags)

Now here are some of the ones I'm working on

Sweet Bella (MT masking tape, Ontwerpduo Writing paper, Life Co (writing paper/notebooks) and antica cartotecnica
Doane Paper (notebooks and pads)
1canoe2 (Beautiful letterpress products)

Do you have some favorite products you like to use? Do you prefer nice stationery (original crown mill, G. Lalo)  I will be carrying note cards, letter sets as well as pads and envelopes separately.

I am not sure about pens as there are so many wonderful places to acquire these already.  Jet pens and Goulet Pens just to name a few.

So with this in mind, I am shooting for a mid year launch.  If all things go well and inventory can be had in time.

Look for changes coming and thanks for hanging around

  1. Awesome awesome awesome awesome!

Yes... all of the above items and more, as you see fit -- you have good taste.

I agree about the pens -- I think that market is pretty much cornered/saturated/exhausted at this point. But it can still be a little difficult to find great stationery.

Oh, and have you checked your email????

    1. I have checked my email. Sent you a response a few minutes ago. THANKS!!

  2. Wow, how exciting. I agree with Randall about you having good taste. It is elegant, sophisticated, classic, and aristocratic which I also like.

In addition, I like decorative writing pads/tablets. like in the old days. I can't seem to find anything like that anymore.

I think every woman who sends out mail is addicted to washi tape.

Congratulations on your decision to open a store. Is it going to be an on-line store only? I will do my part to help make it successful, like spread the word and purchase items from said store.

    1. It will be online only. There are some products which have pricing protection on and I totally agree with the supplier as it would cannibalize their own stores. My intent is to put nice offerings under one "roof" :)

  3. I guarantee I will be one of your favorite customers, my friend.

  4. I've been browsing. Just love Cat's Life Press and BlueQ. Great choices so far, Derrick. :)

  5. Hi, of course this post is genuinely fastidious and I have learned lot of things from it about blogging. thanks.
